In Sweden

One of the most celebrated traditions in Sweden is Midsummer. During Midsummer, the Swedes decorate their houses with greens and place a maypole in an open field. The maypole is also decorated with greens and the Swedes dance around it. Midsummer is celebrated between June 20 – 26 depending on the summer solstice. The tradition has its origins from the Middle Ages and the traditions are supposed to bring luck and fortune.
