In Stockholm – 2
On the last day in Stockholm, we visited The Royal Palace : Kungliga slotten, which is the official residence of the King of Sweden, with over 600 rooms.
The royal family is very important for the Swedes. They are a source of inspiration for the society. Besides, the Swedish government is a parliamentary monarchy, just like in the United Kingdom. Indeed, the Royal family merely has the status of representatives but there are very dear to the population. In the castle, we saw the crowns and the apartments of the royal family.
We had some free time in the afternoon, so we wandered in the medieval streets of the old town. We could buy some souvenirs or went to “Fotografiska“, a photography museum. Then we came back to the boat and slept our last night in Stockholm.
