A day in Pérouges
This day was filled with many activities, such as practicing our performance for the poetry slam, taking a trip to a medieval town and trying their famous cake which the people of Pérouges are very proud of.
The day started at 8 o’clock as usual at the school Charlie Chaplin. Both the French and Swedish students continued the preparations for the show on Friday night where we were supposed to present our poetry slam in front of family and friends. The preparations continued for a couple of hours and we rehearsed over and over again. The day continued with lunch at the school canteen including something sweet for dessert.
Around 13.30 we started the trip to the medieval town Pérouge where we were supposed to have “fika” yet again. The town was cosy and among other things we visited a church and a souvenir shop where most of us bought presents for our families at home in Sweden. The day in Pérouges finished off with their famous cake in a restaurant. As everything else here the cake was very sweet.
After returning to Décine we wanted to do something together, so the French students took us for a walk around a lake. The surroundings were lovely and so was the weather, so it was a very nice way to finish the day. Then we had diner with our host families, which was pleasant as always.
