I’m Marine and I am 16 years old. I live in a house in Meyzieu, in the suburbs of Lyon with my mom, dad, brother and sister. I study in Charlie Chaplin high school, in Décines, and I think this exchange with Sweden helped me a lot improve my English.
Hosting Ida at home was one of the best experiences of my life, it was awesome. The first meeting was so exciting and very stressful, but that went very well! Honestly, I was really afraid about talking English for a whole week, because I am not used to. During the first days it was hard, but step by step it became easier and easier.
My family was really glad to meet Ida, and my sister Eloane and her became immediately best friends! We spent a great time together, during the day by all the activities with the all group, but also in the evening, when we talked about our lives, our habits… we discussed a lot about movies, books and our culture.
I hope she had as a good time as I did, because for me it was an amazing exchange. I will never forget all the great moments we had, as much with Ida as with the rest of the group.
